The Rev. Steven Bolton, C.O., ordained to the priesthood on June 29, has received the priestly faculties of the Diocese of Metuchen and has been given the following pastoral assignments by Bishop Checchio: Parochial Vicar, Church of the Holy Trinity , Bridgewater; and Vice Rector, Shrine Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, Raritan. Like all the Oratorian priests, Fr. Steven will be assisting all the apostolates entrusted to the Oratory.

Bishop Checchio will be visiting the Church of the Holy Trinity to celebrate the 5 pm Mass on Saturday, September 30, in observance of the parish 75th Anniversary. Then, he will join us for a 75th Anniversary Dinner/Dance from 6-10 pm at the Somerville Elks. The Pastor Emeritus, Fr. John Pringle, will also be in attendance.Tickets are $50 per person and are available for purchase after weekend Masses and from the Holy Trinity parish office.

St. Ann Parish in Raritan invites everyone to a "Restart the Festa" Dinner on Saturday, September 23 (the night before the Basilone Parade) from 5-9 pm in the school cafeteria. Tickets are $40 (available after St. Ann Masses and through the parish office) and include: Buffet dinner of Festa favorites: Meatballs, sausage, eggplant, in Festa sauce; bread, soft drinks, coffee/tea and dessert. St. Joseph Parish in Raritan invites everyone to their 2nd Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival! Sunday, September 17 from 1-7 pm. Food from more than 10 different countries of Latin America, including: Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Honduras, Peru, Colombia, Paraguay, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and the U.S. Games for children, pony rides, mechanical bull, dunking tank, folk dance groups, D.J. Coco, a concert, and concluding the day with a small Eucharistic Procession! All proceeds to benefit St. Joseph Church

This is the second term for the current Provost. Fr. Jeff has been a member of the Oratory since 2004. Our next uServe event for middle and high school students is Soap For Hope, on Tuesday, February 7 from 4:30-5:30pm at Holy Trinity. We’ll make hygiene kits for families for their first night in a shelter.

St. Ann Classical Academy is hosting an Open House for Catholic Schools Week, on Sunday, January 29. There will be a pancake breakfast in the cafeteria at 11:00, and the open house from 11:30 – 2:00. The faithful and people of good will in the Diocese of Metuchen are invited to join together in prayer for a Memorial Mass for the repose of the soul of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. at the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi, Metuchen. Join us in solidarity with those participating in the annual March for Life in Washington DC, by spending some time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament at Holy Trinity Church, Bridgewater. Adoration will begin at 12 Noon and conclude with Benediction at 6:45 pm, followed by the regularly scheduled 7:00 pm Mass. The Raritan Congregation of the Oratory of St. Philip Neri announces with great joy the upcoming ordination of Br. Steven John Bolton, C.O. Brother Steven will be ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacons by the Most Rev. Mario A. Aviles, C.O., Auxiliary Bishop of Brownsville, Texas, on Saturday, January 28, 2023, the Memorial of St. Thomas Aquinas, at 10:00 am in the Church of St. Joseph, Raritan, New Jersey. All are welcome to attend, and there will be a light reception following the Mass.

Bishop Checchio has authorized a special collection in all parishes of the Diocese of Metuchen, to benefit relief efforts in the aftermath of the destruction caused by Hurricane Ian. Our local Knights of Columbus councils are teaming up to ensure that no kids in our community have to go cold this winter! Donations of new children's coats will be collected at all Masses the weekend of October 15-16, at all the churches served by the Raritan Oratory.

The Blessing of Animals for the feast of St. Francis will be offered by Fr. Jeff on Sunday, October 2 at 3 pm at St. Ann’s in Raritan, outside behind the rectory.

As the Year of St. Joseph concludes, all are invited to take part in the Consecration to St. Joseph, a 33-day journey of prayer with our spiritual father. Weekly group meetings begin Wednesday, November 3 at 7 pm, and the Consecration will take place Sunday, December 5, all at St. Joseph Church in Raritan.
